Welcome to the Sekai Project website

We are a group of fans who are dedicating our free time to work on a fully animated bishoujo game called "School Days". We started the project back in April 2006. Unfortunately, due to staffing issues and pure laziness the project didn't actually take off until the early months of 2007. Even now we are still working towards a release.

EDMONTON, AB, CANADA - April 01, 2008 - Sekai Project today announced the acquisition of a license from Overflow to translate School Days into English for markets outside of Japan. This comes as Overflow, a maker of visual novels including its blockbuster School Days, explores the possibility of reaching out to its non-Japanese fans and expanding its market overseas, a pioneering act in the realm of visual novel sales.

The company has expressed interest in working with Sekai Project to create a campaign for the English release of School Days. The visual novel, famous for its sexual content and violent bad endings, will be repackaged uncensored and uncut, with limited edition goods, and will include a new route featuring the character Kokoro.

"It brings us great pleasure to announce our partnership with Sekai Project, so that we can reach out to our fans overseas. We understand their frustration when games are released only in Japan, and we want to change that," said Mr. Oonuma Akio, representative director of Overflow's parent company Stack Co., Ltd, at the ceremony announcing the partnership. Sekai Project's coordinator Kanna replied, "We are honored to have our English translation licensed by Overflow. We look forward to working together in order to bring this great game to the markets outside of Japan."

No release date has been set for the English release of School Days. However, Sekai Project has stated that steady progress is being made.
