We are a group of fans who are dedicating our free time to work on a fully animated bishoujo game called "School Days". We started the project back in April 2006. Unfortunately, due to staffing issues and pure laziness the project didn't actually take off until the early months of 2007. Even now we are still working towards a release.
The Downloads section has been updated with a new version of the translated executables patch and a new certificate.
Follow the instructions link for how to install the new certificate.
10 | Progress and Anime Mini-Review - Kanna |
So, the first alpha build was released to testers last week. So far no bugs have been found, so that's a good sign. We're still working on other enhancements to the game engine, so the first test was just to test that the modified archives and script didn't do anything funny. Also, the anime version of School Days aired last week, and so far it's right on track with the game. I really don't like the voice cast, it's like they're trying too hard to imitate the originals. I don't see why they couldn't just get the original cast to do the voicing. That aside, however, the animation quality seems to be quite average for an h-game to anime conversion. At least none of the frames have jaggy edges! Being that it's average, I really don't have anything to say. Which brings me to why I'm writing this in the first place. Fansubs for the anime are already available from the group AnimeYoshi. Unfortunately their translator doesn't know how to use translator notes properly, as seen in this screen capture. If you get past that though, it's a decent sub. - Kanna |
