There is still no date for the anime to air desho?. . . as i can not find any info about it. . .

Still the new version of Black Rock Shooter using new's miku append is too nice, as it maybe beated the original sony labeled one, and they are using it on the anime. . .

Yeah MAL is saying at the moment June. A little sad, I thought it would be more spring time June always makes me feel more summer time. Also saaaaaaad it sounds like they are only going to be making it a one episode OVA ; _ ;
Was really hoping to see more of Huke's original characters thrown into the series. Like Dragon Slayer. Though with only one episode. I don't think there will be a whole lot more. I hope they at least animate Maid Gunner >_</

i... actually had not watched that, though now im glad i did. well, let's hope this ova starts like all the other successfull ovas out there. take little baby steps with one ova to gather some money and merchandise (not like they need too much help making black rock shooter popular) and later, it will end up as an anime, let's just hope whoever decides to take on the anime next is a good and well respected production studio that will make sure to bring out quality and timely (damn you shaft for delaying bakemonogatari)

Just watched Episode 1! It's pretty good!
Animation is like K-On with a bit of FLCL style. Story reminds me of school days a little...
Music is fantastic throughout!

I just watched the ova and I think its pretty much crap...

Forced us to watch the same fight scene twice for no reason, a random fight that explained nothing, a random cahracter who jumped down a cliff and was never seen again...needles time forwards and time rewinds...

The animation and the fight scenes were pretty good though.

I have already watched it. I don't have much to say about it though. I liked it but I didn't love it. I just felt like it made me ask more questions than answer them. Not to mention that for the title being black rock shooter there was little about her in it. =/ which is kind of lame. I think I kinda get the story though it was so vague I am not completely sure. So I felt the story telling wasn't very good imo.

Music was mind blowing. That was about the only thing that wasn't a total let down.

Oh minus one thing umm I never really heard the BRS theme >_> that really pissed me off. I mean they kind of used a piano version of it though it was actually pretty weak for that moment. It was very soft and I barely noticed it.

Also sever lack of more of huke's characters.

they did play black rock shooter, just part instrumental at certain parts in the ova.
me, as a suck up to BRS, i loved it. but that may be my bias to loving huke's drawing, and the character itself
many people keep saying how they didn't like the questions raised, and the lack of a TRUE story. well.... all i keep saying is
1. it is obvious that they will eventually come up with a new OVA to explain more in detail. the ending kinda led to a cliffhanger. i see this OVA as more of an introduction into the theme of the anime rather than a complete explanaition.
2. It is one OVA..... and IT IS made up from the characters alone. an original story is not too easy to come up with, and i don't think they screwed everything up yet. there are still many of huke's characters in the realm of black rock shooter, and i have a firm belief that we will get to see them in action sometime, with more explanaitions and expansion of the themes.

all in all, the ova was awesome for what it formally was. i gotta give kudos for smooth animation, and great character designs. music was great, and the beginning of the story was intriguing.

In my opinion the story was fine haha. I just took it for what it was - The school scenes and such was reality and the fighting was like an alternate realm. Then at the end she meets her metaphorical counterpart or whatever.
I was watching it with the expectation that there would be more episodes ect - if you think like that then its not far from any other anime 1st episode.

Well I guess that's where we differ in opinions I took this as a stand alone episode. Kind of like a mini movie. True I wasn't expecting everything to be answered but something cause I can't think of one thing that I can say with 100% certainty that was answered. Honestly I just wanted more focus on BRS. It's her OVA it should have been about her mainly not the two school girls. Who weren't really all that interesting.

All I can do is hope that it does get it's own series. I would love to see more animated BRS. Though honestly I felt like it got extremely lucky that we even got an OVA.
So I guess that is why I felt so disappointed.
