Itou Makoto (伊藤 誠 = イトウ マコト)

A student from 1-3 at Sakakino Academy.
Drifting through a monotonous everyday life, he finds himself drawn towards a certain girl on the train to school. A shy person when it comes to romance, he is content to just watch her from a distance - but with Sekai's support, that uneventful life begins to change.

Saionji Sekai (西園寺 世界 = サイオンジ セカイ)

A girl from 1-3, and Makoto's classmate.

Known to be both a cheerful mood-maker and somewhat of a loudmouth.
Her cute appearance and bright personality (as admired by Taisuke) attract a lot of secret fans, but with her frank and outspoken personality, all the boys who've confessed to her so far have been mercilessly rejected.

Katsura Kotonoha (桂 言葉 = カツラ コトノハ)

Voice : Tohno Soyogi (遠野 そよぎ)

A shy, quiet girl from 1-4, one door down from Makoto and Sekai's class.

Due to her striking appearance, she's always been somewhat frightened of boys. She is disliked by the girls in her class, and distanced from the boys, who restrain each other from approaching her. Having taken an interest in Makoto as he watches her from afar, she decides to accept when he confesses with the help of Sekai's mediation.

Kiyoura Setsuna (清浦 刹那 = キヨウラ セツナ)

Voice : Yamamoto Hana (山本 華)

A girl from 1-3, and Sekai's childhood friend.

Silent and emotionless, she nonetheless has the ability to make her mind known to Sekai, even without words.

Kanroji Nanami (甘露寺 七海 = カンロジ ナナミ)

Voice : Fujimura Mio (藤村 美緒)

A girl from 1-3, and Sekai's friend.

A sporty girl who plays basketball. Although she serves as the leader of the group that includes the popular Sekai, her boyfriend is a hardcore otaku. As such, her taste in boys remains a mystery to her peers. She and Sekai used to go to the same school.

Kuroda Hikari (黒田 光 = クロダ ヒカリ)

Voice : Isshiki Hikaru (一色 ヒカル)

A girl from 1-3, and Sekai's friend.

Her family owns a confectionary store in town that's famous for its lemon custard cake. She takes a very dim view of Makoto, who she believes is going out with Sekai.

Katou Otome (加藤 乙女 = カトウ オトメ)

Voice : Matsunaga Yuki (松永 雪希)

A girl from 1-4, and Makoto's close friend. The two of them used to attend the same school.

She belongs to the basketball club, and serves as the leader of the girls in 1-4. She's also the head of a group of girls who pick on Kotonoha.

Sawanaga Taisuke (澤永 泰介 = サワナガ タイスケ)

Voice : Hyuuga Hikage (日向 日陰)

A first year student at Sakaki Academy, and a close friend of Makoto's.

A bright and cheerful guy who's easily excited. He and Makoto used to go to the same school, and still hang out together after fortuitously ending up in the same class. He's a nice guy, but the girls don't see him as a potential boyfriend.

Obuchi Minami (小渕 みなみ = オブチ ミナミ)

Voice : Kuribayashi Minami (栗林みな実)

A girl from 1-4.

One of Otome's lackeys.
A mood maker.
Obeys Otome without question.

Koizumi Natsumi (小泉 夏美 = コイズミ ナツミ)

A girl from 1-4.

One of Otome's lackeys.
Appears adept at gathering information.
Good friends with Kumi.

Mori Kumi (森 来実 = モリ クミ)

Voice : Nene (寧々)

A girl from 1-4.

One of Otome's lackeys.
A gentle, peaceful girl.
Uses '-chan' when addressing Otome, Minami and Natsumi.
Appears to be the youngest (mentally) of the trio.

Katsura Kokoro (桂 心 = カツラ ココロ)

Kotonoha's little sister.

Unlike her shy older sister, she's full of curiosity and frequently teasing her more reserved sibling.

Sekai's Mother (世界の母)

Saionji Sekai's mother.

A kind woman who draws upon her wealth of experience in advising her daughter about her romance-related troubles.

Itaru (止 = イタル)

Voice : Nanba Kaduki (南波 華月)

Makoto's little sister.

A sweet and innocent girl who is very attached to her brother. Taken in by their father when their parents divorced, she now lives apart from him, although from time to time, she comes to visit.
